You can delete your Amigas account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your information — it is the same account deletion described in our Privacy Policy.
How to delete your account
- Open the Amigas app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap the settings icon at the top right.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read what will happen, then confirm.
Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it — if you come back later, you start with a new account.
If you cannot sign in
Email us at contact@amigas.click from the email address you used for Amigas, and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm when it is done. If you write from a different address we may ask you something only the account holder would know, so that nobody can have someone else's account deleted.
If you subscribe to Amigas Club
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. It is held by the app store you bought through, not by us, so cancel it there as well — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or Google Play → Payments and subscriptions on Android — or it will keep renewing.
What is deleted
- Your profile and everything in it: your name, date of birth, bio, interests, languages, neighbourhood and prompt answers.
- Your photos.
- Your account itself, and your sign-in.
- Coffee invites you have sent or received that are still open.
- Your list of the members you blocked.
- Your notification token, so we cannot send you anything.
- Your usage records held by our analytics providers, which we ask them to erase.
What is kept, and why
- Messages you have already sent stay visible in the other person's chat history, but stripped of your identity — your name shows as "Deleted user" and your photo is removed. The conversation also belongs to the other person, and we cannot erase her side of it.
- Group activities you hosted are cancelled, and stay in the members' list as a record of what happened, stripped of your identity in the same way. The title and description you wrote remain.
- Safety and moderation records — reports involving you, and blocks other members made against you — are kept as a security and legal record, even after your account is gone. This is what stops someone deleting an account to erase a report and starting again.
- Crash reports, if you agreed to them, are held by Google for 90 days and then deleted. They are not linked to your account.
